Quote of the Week
“I have bookings well into 2010. Well into December of 2010. Even though they tell me there’s a recession going on.”
- Manager Dawn Rigby
- on the Crowsnest Centre’s
current outlook

Lacrosse is an increasingly popular summer sport in the Crowsnest Pass, and its players continue to improve thanks in part to the continuance of a yearly clinic put on by players from the Calgary Roughnecks, a professional lacrosse team.
Tracey Keluski, captain of the Roughnecks, came to the Pass on Wednesday, April 29, along with goaltender Alex Coutts, to put on a three-hour lacrosse clinic for local players.
This is the sixth year for the Crowsnest Pass Lacrosse Association, and the fourth year Kelusky has run a clinic for local players. Joey Ambrosi, president of the local association, says that Kelusky is one of the top ten

lacrosse players in the world and a regular member of Team Canada, and that this is comparable to having Jarome Iginla down to run a hockey clinic.
“You’re not going to get any better,” says Ambrosi.
He adds that it was great to have a professional goaltender attend this year, to give help and advice to our local lacrosse goalies.
Kelusky said that promoting and supporting lacrosse is a grass roots effort for the players involved, who are essentially pioneering the sport right now. He commended the work of enthusiastic individuals such as Joey Ambrosi for their work building the sport at local levels.
