Quote of the Week
“They got to dance with some really good teachers. It’s a big deal for them.”
- Tara Groves

Studio’s trip to L.A.

So they think they can dance –– and yes, they really can.
Ten local dancers with the Turning Pointe Dance Studio traveled with teachers and family to Los Angeles, California, from July 16 to 22, to take part in one of the best experiences of their young dancing careers.
At The Pulse, a large dancing workshop attended by many American dance groups along with groups from Australia and Guam, the local dancers got to work with different professional teachers. At the end of the workshop they performed a number of their own for a panel of judges from the hit reality tv series, So You Think You Can Dance?, and received constructive criticism and encouragement.
"They had a great time," says Tara Groves, instructor for Turning Pointe. "They got to dance with some really good teachers. It's a big deal for them."
The ten local dancers were Shaylee Zeller, Tristan Zeller, Nikkol Marra, Karlie Stella, Charlotte Wigle, Jessica Bohn, Elise Pundyk, Meagan Morency, Brianne Kocsis, and Chelsea Kocsis. They were accompanied by instructors Tara Groves, Christina Samson, and Koral Lazzarotto, along with several parents and some younger dancing family members too young to take part in the workshop, for a total of 27 in the group.
