2010 New Years Baby Sawyer Hvizdos

Local goaltender Morgan Yanco has proven himself among the best in his age group, as he recently became one of two Pee Wee goalies from southern Alberta to take part in the Danone Superskills event with the Calgary Flames.
Pee Wee hockey players from our area participated in the Pee Wee Skills Challenge in the Crowsnest Pass on December 19, and the top 20 players were selected to take part in a southern Alberta final in Calgary on January 2. A total of 70 skaters and 10 goaltenders participated in this event, and from it, the top 14 skaters and two goalies advanced to the ultimate reward for young hockey players -- a day playing with the Calgary Flames.

Morgan Yanco was one of the two goaltenders, and on Sunday, January 3, he took part in the Danone Superskills event at the Saddledome with 15 other Pee Wee players and the Calgary Flames.
The young players were served a big breakfast at the Saddledome and got suited up for the event in the Flames' locker room. Each player received a special jersey for the event with their name on the back, and each was introduced over the PA system along with the Flames players.
The Flames and the Pee Wee players were mixed into different teams, and Morgan found himself on the same team as players such as Jarome Iginla, Robyn Rhegear, and others.
