The Crow Snow Riders are bringing one of the biggest provincial snowmobile events to the Crowsnest Pass, and the community is invited to take part in some of the exciting events that will be held during the Alberta Snowmobile Association Mountain Jamboree.
The Jamboree will take place between February 26 and 28, and the Crow Snow Riders expect anywhere from 300 to 500 people will arrive from throughout Alberta and parts of B.C. and Saskatchewan to participate.
Any individual with an Alberta Snowmobile Association trail pass is allowed to register for the weekend of events, which include two poker rides and a banquet at the M.D. McEachern.
Registration and a social event will take place at the Elks Hall on February 26, with the first poker ride, north of the Pass, following on Saturday, February 27.

The banquet will take place that evening, and will include door prizes and the announcement of the raffle winner –– the Crow Snow Riders will be raffling off a Yamaha snowmobile, donated to them by Yamaha Canada. Raffle tickets will be available at the Elk Hall during the Friday registration.
On February 28, the second poker ride will take place south of the community, embarking from the York Creek staging area.
The Saskatchewan Snow Racing Association will be running snow drag races at Knowle's Flats, up McGillivray Creek, on the Saturday. The event is open for public viewing, with a small fee for preferred seating.
Lil Boone, with the Crow Snow Riders, says that this is the biggest event the club hosts, and is very important to them. She says that the poker rides will be on a much bigger scale than a regular poker ride.
