The Crowsnest Medical Clinic, located on main street Bellevue, is always striving to improve as they provide quality, full service primary care to patients in the Crowsnest Pass.
The clinic's roots reach back to 1993, when Dr. Garbutt and Dr. Sara began practicing at the Crowsnest Centre. The clinic moved to Bellevue ten years ago, and has grown to include Dr. McKernan and Dr. Garland, four doctors in total.
The clinic hopes to expand even further by the end of 2010, and are anticipating adding a fifth doctor to their practice.
The Crowsnest Medical Clinic has been a teaching clinic since 1994, and takes part in several provincial programs, including the Rural Alberta South Residency Program and the Rural Integrated Community Clerkship. Because of the latter program, a medical student will be with the clinic for nine months this year, starting in April. The clinic feels that it is important to help train the next generation of doctors to help take care of everyone in the future.
The doctors at the Crowsnest Medical Clinic are accepting patients, and the clinic also runs walk-in clinics three days per week to make sure that everyone can receive the care they need.

The clinic has been actively involved in the Primary Care Network, a partnership between Alberta Health Services and local doctors, receiving special funding for extra nurses to help at the clinic.

The clinic provides maternity care as well, and is involved in several early stage research programs that could lead to better diagnoses of some ailments in the Pass.
For your family or personal health care needs, the Crowsnest Medical Clinic always strives to take the time to accommodate all of their patients, and to see you within, at most, two days from your call, and often on the same day you call.
