Kayla Valiquette performs "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey at the third round
of the Crowsnest Pass Idol competition at the Blairmore Legion on
Saturday, April 23rd.

The seven finalists for Crowsnest Pass Idol were selected following the third round of competition on Saturday, April 23rd at the Blairmore Legion.
Lundbreck’s Jim Taylor, Pincher Creek’s Codie Sinclair, and Crowsnest Pass residents Michel Blais, Yvette Lucas, Jon Burgman, Kayla Valiquette, and Cierra Shortreed will perform at the finale this Friday, May 6th.
Judges Daryl Ferguson, Deserie Michalsky and Michele Dobek-Koinberg voted off Elkford’s Shane Borthwick, Pincher Creek’s Emily Peters, and Crowsnest Pass singers Kristin Sciarra and Jeff Chambers.
Sciarra and Chambers both forgot the lyrics to the songs they were performing, and were unfortunately disqualified for that reason.
“That is the only reason we’re letting you go,” Michalsky told the two, encouraging them to come back next year.
The final seven contestants will perform three songs each at the finale this Friday.

Tickets for the finale go on sale this Wednesday, May 4th at 11 a.m. for $10 each, and can be purchased at the Blairmore Legion only.
