There is an end in sight for the Crowsnest Centre demolition, according to Frank Besinger, Director of Public Works for the municipality.

“The projects almost complete,” he said, adding the site is in its final stages of clean-up and should be done in about a month.

The project started in late September and the rumour mill started up as soon as The Pass Herald revealed the previous review of a bid by made by the Vachon group on behal Best Western Hotels to begin developing on the property made to council in August.

“Council is open to pretty much any viable business enterprise (to go in the Centre’s place,” begins Crowsnest Pass Mayor Blair Painter.

“We’re not just looking at a deal with Best Western.”

The municipality is currently receiving and waiting for further updates on any potential ventures to take the place of Crowsnest Centre.
