On Dec. 18 Scotia Bank presented the Crowsnest Pass Women’s Resource and Crisis Centre with $5,000 in matching funds raised at last week’s Yuk Yuks fundraising event at The Greenhill Hotel. In total, the event raised $18,420 for the Women’s Resource and Crisis Centre.
“I just want to say thank you,” says Women’s Resource and Crisis Centre coordinator Desiree Simoneau.

“The community we live in is amazing on so many levels. We are grateful as a family for the overwhelming support you have all provided for us in this time of need.”
Simoneau says the Yuk Yuks fundraiser will become an annual event and will be called the Darcy Draper Memorial Fundraiser.
