Bellevue has new chefs in town

The former Wildrose Confectionery in Bellevue has closed down. New owners Chefs Shawn and Andrea Massingham have taken over the space bringing the community Chefs On 2 Thirteen.

If you live in Bellevue or have ever frequented the Wild Rose Confectionary on Main Street Bellevue, you may have noticed a few changes.

New owners Chefs Shawn and Andrea Massingham, are bringing us, The Chefs On 2 Thirteen. They offer a great new option for relaxed dining.

A frozen meal to take home and cook or just a cup of coffee and a perfect pastry. A Year ago, Shawn and Andrea moved to the Pass from Longview where they also operate, The Chefs From The Bar U, at the, Bar U Ranch in Longview. The Chefs On 2 Thirteen will offer a full delicatessen, a bakery, café area and a full restaurant. Chef Shawn Massingham is a 3-time Zaggat award winning Platinum Sealed Executive Chef. He has worked worldwide bringing international flavours and spices for all in the Crowsnest Pass to enjoy.

Chef Shawn’s signature dishes have received many accolades and awards over an amazing 48 years in the industry. He has also prepared dishes or was the personal chef for an astonishing list of dignitaries, celebrities and even royalty. John Gotti, Sarah Mclachlan and Prince William are just a few of the names on this list.

His partner and wife, Chef Patisserie Andrea prepares savory treats at the most professional level. With fresh hearty breads, desserts and a perfected New York style Cheesecake they are sure to be a welcome addition.

They will also offer vegetarian and gluten free dishes and pastries, boast fresh ingredients sourced from local Southern Alberta ranchers and farmers and cook from scratch without processed goods.

Although open now for convenience based goods, they open officially on August 24th when you can enjoy breakfast and lunch.

The Massingham’s hope to be fully operational within a few short weeks when they will be open from 6 a.m to 9 p.m.
