It was a weekend of ‘hurry hards’, bunny ears and fanastic fun at the 2016 Bunny Bonspiel.

Thirty-two men’s teams and 16 women’s teams participated.

Bunny organizer Angela Mathieson said the tournament always welcomes new curlers.

“Most years our experienced teams break up and accept new curlers so we can get out there and let other people learn how to curl and have fun,” she said.

This is Mathieson’s third year coordinating the Bunny Bonspiel. She said this year had fewer teams than expected, possibly because of the economy, but expected next year’s 70th bonspiel to be a big one.

She said organizers are considering a 1970s theme for the event. Winners will be in next weeks issue.
