A section of the McGillivray Creek Trail starting from north of the bible camp to the intersection of Spoon Valley and Vicary Creek will be closed from August 10 to October 31.

“We will have contractors with heavy equipment working up there and all public will be asked to stay out of this area until we are done construction,” said Heather Davis, recreational stewardship coordinator with the South Region Backcountry Trails Flood Rehabilitation Program.

All public, including non-motorized, that pass through will be asked to turn around and exit the area. Environment and Parks is asking for everyone’s cooperation for public safety and efficiency so that crews can create the best finished product possible.

The public will be advised if the work is completed early.
